9 wickets left and they couldn't even score 8 an over off the last 10 with chief pie chucker Agarkar bowling 4 of them. Piss poor.

Class innings by Bell, probably the best I've seen him bat. Good stuff from Cook and KP as well.

Good to see Bell with a strike-rate of 100+, dispelled a few doubters who said he could only go slow etc.

The last couple of balls were indicative, single were taken casually when the ball went to long-on/off. England obviously learnt nothing from the Test series where they were on top in the first Test, lacked urgency and it ended up being a draw.

Well the PP batting may not have been what we wanted and the late over hbatting may not have been the best, but England won this game in the middle overs.
And two maiden hundreds..... I mean give this England team some credit:wacko:

Who cares about this series anyway, the Twenty20 World Cup is after this - England will struggle to beat Zimbabwe let alone anyone else if they repeat their late over batting performance today.

Pretty sure that doesnt deserve anything else.
DWTA.Think about it. A competition of an exciting format of the game in which every Test nation is competing. Or an excruciatingly long series of an excruciatingly boring format, contested by a country without any decent seamers and a country that can't play the format to save their lives. No contest imo.

Disagree with the Zimbabwe comment, though.

India were pretty poor in the field as well, very disappointing bowling performance all round. Zaheer and RP Singh did OK, but apart from that, the rest were pretty average.

I cant wait for the twenty20 WC and out of the two it wins easily, but this series is very important part of the development of this England one day side and I think alot of people care about it (could have been a little shorter but thats another story) so to say no one cares about it is just silly imo. and also the Zimbabwe part:unsure: .

Once I get over the fact that there is 7 odi's and only 3 tests I'll probably feel the same way :p.
The other thing is the twenty20 WC involves Aus:cool:
