Still dont know why W I were given 4 test and us only 3............

even australia gives us now more test than SA.why england still continue to treat WI in the same way as they where some 15 years ago.i think india/SL now deserves more test than WI.if this was a 5 test series and WI one a 2 test series i think it would have been great..i think in australia we are going to play 4 test again rite?

India played well, but i hope in the future when arguments about India's away record strong relevance isn't payed towards this series. Since even though they won it must not be forgotten that with the exception of Panesar, England's main bowling attack was out injured and i'd put my head on block to say if they were fit India would not have won this series.
Only bowler england missed was hoggard....i odnt think harmison would have been that effective with the way he has been bowling recently.and flintoff willnevr be the bowler again that he was in the ashes series.

to an extent india would have also missed munaf.if he was fit he would have definetly played the first test.

so both the teams missed a bowler each may be england more than india.

The Munaf Patel that was bowling close to 90mph & reverse swinging it 18 months ago has clearly changed into a more of line bowler. He probably would have been effective in England but its obvious the effect of the left-armer seamers was one of the main reasons India did well in this series.

On England's attack, ye Hoggard, maybe Harmo is very inconsistent of late but the fact that a slower version of him in Tremlett bowled so well i really think he could have done something in this series & Freddie yea he may not reach the heights of his Ashes performance again but he is England's best bowler don't think he had to bowl that superbly to have caused Inida's batting problems.

by that count should be count out England's Ashes win seeing as Mcgrath was out for the crucial match... otherwise i doubt Eng would've won either as well. 8-)
Thats true no doubt, but i am also looking at the fact that 18 months ago in Indian conditions with Hoggard/Freddie/ partnership went along way in helping England to level that series given the injury crisis the batting had. If they could cause them so much problems in India surely in this series especially @ TB things would have been different in this series.

But don't get me wrong a series wins is a series win for India but those fine details must be highlighted, since i'm not convinced about India as the total package as a touring side. They defeated the windies & england but both had weak attacks & their batting was exposed buy a strong SA bowling attack earlier this year.

The bowling attack especially the quicks have potential after all they won India series in the WI, ENG & the Jo'Burg test, but the batting experienced as it is is very brittle vs top quality attacks these days. Pretty much a big turnaround of the usual situation when India go on tour.

What about Simon Jones? He's been injured for the last 2 years. I hope he plays for England again.

i think it will be very hard for him.every time he has made a come back he has been injured.he and Bond are 2 bowlers.and i think munaf is also going that way, who if had been fit would have been a great asset for thier team.even though bond have been brilliant when ever he was avialable i still think he has been unfit for way too long

If every series England lose, or struggle in, people mention "well, if we had Simon Jones" then England will always have an excuse.

Its time to move past the reliance on the Ashes quartet of 2005, and I think England are doing it well with the way they are grooming thier bowlers. You really can't fault Tremlett, Sidebottom or Anderson too much this series. India just played them well, and England's batting let them down on a couple of occasions when they needed to stand up. That was the difference in the series.

Yeah, English bowlers exceeded expectations for mine, it was the 'star' batting line up that let them down at crucial times.

Whatever it takes!!!
I really don't see how it's that unrealistic. A fit Flintoff will make a massive difference.
I ve lost the avatar challenge with u, mate.... Tell me what should be mine...

Juz remember, if it is horrible, it will be doubly horrible for Piper.... ;) :p

edit: juz saw ur post in the other thread, will change now.
