Agreed, he meant to do it, there's just no way you can run in that fast and get it wrong by a foot. You can't bowl a no-ball by that much and not mean to do it, that is certain imo.
Out of interest, do you bowl much in cricket matches? There was another delivery where he bowled from about a foot behind the line, 20 minutes or so before iirc. I think it's just the case of completely losing the plot tbh. Def needs to be dropped for the next Test.
Exactly, that's the point - he's lost plot mentally, so to speak.Out of interest, do you bowl much in cricket matches?
From experience, bowling a foot either side of the line is just something that couldn't happen without myself meaning it to.
He had an appeal for caught behind turned down, so next ball he went round the wicket and bowled a no ball bouncer, then next ball he deliberately ran through the crease and bowled a bouncer with his front foot a foot over the line.Just might start to lose it with Sreesanth myself. Can someone explain the no-ball issue? Haven't been able to watch today's play.
Ooooohh, i thought you were saying he didn't mean to bowl that far over, apologies.Exactly, that's the point - he's lost plot mentally, so to speak.
Yea, he kicked towards KP while he was running past (maybe it was Collingwood, not sure). But someone.Yeah didn't he aim a small kick at KP or something?
I don't think there's anything wrong in it.....he is having young blood in his veins and he is showing agression....that's it.He had an appeal for caught behind turned down, so next ball he went round the wicket and bowled a no ball bouncer, then next ball he deliberately ran through the crease and bowled a bouncer with his front foot a foot over the line.
AWTA. I reckon he should get repromanded (sp?) for that, deliberate cheating that could be very dangerous.Yea, he kicked towards KP while he was running past (maybe it was Collingwood, not sure). But someone.
And the no ball issue - as open365 said, but it was more than a foot. It was about a yard really. He deliberately went around the wicket and bowled a no ball bouncer....the batsman was able to duck so he tried again and this time went a yard out of the crease to bowl a second bouncer. There isn't a doubt in my mind it was done intentionally (and all the commentators agreed).
There is a difference between being aggressive and downright cheating tbh.I don't think there's anything wrong in it.....he is having young blood in his veins and he is showing agression....that's it.
We all know how agressive australian players are on ground and they even say words like "f***" to indian players.....and they are the world champions. When pakistan was in top-form, all its players showed great agresssion on ground....
So, come on guys...its time for Indian guys to show the agression and rule the world of cricket.
Certainly should be reprimanded. The match referee should penalize him match fees - at the very least - and India need to drop him for a game. They should have done that anyway based on his antics so far, but I wouldn't mind a suspension coming down from the ICC for a game or two. It's hard to prove intent though, so that probably won't happen.AWTA. I reckon he should get repromanded (sp?) for that, deliberate cheating that could be very dangerous.
In his defense, Sreesanth was taken off immediately after that no ball over, and Dravid was the first one to apologize to Vaughan after the beamer and had a talk with Sreesanth as well.I have never been a fan of SreeSanth's antics and this sure sounds like childish and immature and sort of stuff you wouldn't even try in a street game. I wonder why was Dravid quiet all along and not stop him. Poor leadership skill on Dravid's part to have allowed Sreesanth to do this sort of stuff again and again.
Pretty cheap stuff IMO and I hope he gets penalized for this and also dropped from next test.
