This is why cricket needs more 4 and 5 match series when it comes to teams that are of similar standards. We'd have left England having won the series 1-0 and thinking we were a pretty ****ing solid team if it was just a 2 match series.
SL 's series win should be scrapped imo

Can't watch this. Feeling sorry for Indian cricket really. This is one of the things which guts you. No WC win can make up for this kind of blow.

Having trouble looking at the match.

Can somebody please transcribe bits of what Ganguly said? Need to hear it. Need to know someone is saying it on-air.

Was very angry about the Che dismissal. Couldn't believe how quickly it was given out. I was out of my seat. There was so much doubt there at first viewing, let alone hawk-eye etc.

Go and get ****ed, Kohli. You played like a tosser. Go play ODIs. Leave this to the grown-ups.
It's been half an hour since I posted this in sheer, furious anger, but is absolutely worth every word. The umpire who gave Che out (in such a hurry, might I add) needs to introspect really.

And so does Kohli, of course.

Through all this brilliance from England, it must not be forgotten that Chris Jordan is a ****ing mediocre bowler. Don't think he should be playing ahead of Plunkett or any of the other options.

Ha, was about to agree, but now... :p

EDIT: Bah, no ball, surely?

Warne you idiot, Rahane plays and misses because he doesn't follow the ball with his hands. Kohli edges it because he's lose and goes after it. Swear he's such a stupid ****.

That's definitely a no ball.

Doesn't really matter They have given it up long back anyway.

I've had this rant before, but is it really that hard to have a white line which is straight and present across the entire crease? Really.

If it does any good, I sincerely apologize for swearing. I was just annoyed you were doing a Blocky but it's clear you weren't.
I'm not even sure who Blocky is.

In the end I just want people to acknowledge that Moeen is a decent bowler, hey I don't think he's even going to be in Swann;s class, but if he averages about 33 with the ball and similar with the bat he could be a decent performer.

No hard feelings:)

This Jadeja - Ashwin thing abroad is real conundrum for India abroad unless they get a real turner.

One isn't worth his place in the side as a all rounder with the bat and one isn't worth his place as a all rounder with the ball given blunt performances consistently. And neither is worth their place as proper Batsman or Proper bowler overseas really or the best available option in terms of that.

So are we going to completely lose it and SOS players like we did with RP Singh last time we toured?

Maybe Ojha, Mishra, Samson, Yadav or Sehwag might come in for the last test.

Too early for a series post-mortem?

Bhuvi has looked tired since the third test. His length has been dropping and his second and third spells haven't been that impressive.
Vijay started well but hasn't been able to sustain that form.
Kohli keeps poking outside off, rubbish.
Pujara keeps getting out softly. He's supposed to be the immoveable object, but England have been able to sit and wait for him to toss his wicket away.
Dhoni poor behind the stumps, slips have missed a lot. He's fought with the bat, and been his usual 'let the game drift when a partnership forms' self while captaining for the most part. The Ishant spell at Lords his best moment, and a couple of other moments here and there, but mostly mediocre.
Shami poor. Jadeja poor except for Lords. Hard to believe he has scored a 100 in Ranji let alone multiple 300s. Pankaj started luckless but this test has been inconsistent. Dhawan poor and Gambhir may as well not have even played. Ashwin batted well but underbowled and wasn't really effective when he did bowl.

Most worrying aspect is how quickly shoulders droop in this side and how 1 bad session seems to deflate them for the rest of the series. And part of it I feel is MSD's lack of confidence in his own side. It doesn't take much for him to get defensive and negative, and that style of leadership rubs off on all the players and their attitudes. The top order have look tentative and have been poking and proding against the quicks, whilst shifting between 1st and 5th gear to Moeen. And shoulders just droop in the side in the field, even though they have bowled okay all series.

Aaron and Rahane have been bright spots.
