Real problem is that Ali/Woakes/Stokes are number 7s with both bat and ball. All pretty good cricketers but none quite good enough with their respective skills to be front line in any aspect.

Agree ala Woakes/Stokes but i think Moeen can make it as a front line spinner. There certainly isn't a better option right now anyway.

Yeah, he is the weakest bat of those 3 though being totally honest. Or at least the one with the most glaring weakness at present.
