Disagree. I do think the toss was a huge advantage here.. Just because England bowled poorly on that track on day 1 does not mean this pitch did not offer a huge advantage to the side winning the toss and bowling first... RSA on this track would have had any side reeling at about a 150 odd.. Or even the 2011 England....
But it wasn't a pitch that seamed early then flattened out. It seamed early, flattened a bit and is now offering lots for Jadeja. Batting 4th is looking really hard.

I would never consider dropping Broad but he is a very frustrating bowler. He actually bowled pretty well in the first Test without much reward, but then he's given a perfect 'pitch the bloody ball up' wicket and his brain has just disappeared for most of the game. Matches like these are why he'll never be great.

Yeah we blew it day 1.

India shouldn't have got more than 200 on that deck if we had bowled anything like.

The pitch is really starting to break up now though. I think batting last is going to be roughly as hard as batting first was.

I think he is an odious, irritating creep but Warne does know his stuff talking spin bowling tactics. Good to listen to about that.

Extras putting a good effort for us today. Might be worth having him take Cook's place if the skipper doesn't go on with it here

England are making it look harder than it is probably. Maybe because they are left handers but it is hardly turning and kicking viciously. It's just normal rough patch with the odd one keeping low so far.

No but Vijay bowling inside 20 overs was a, erm, bold move to say the least.
People talk about Jadeja being a troll but I actualy think Dhoni is a genuine cricket troll. Just does **** sometimes because he can. Weird bloke.

Yeah I'm not so sure. I think if England had bowled properly on the first morning they'd have won the game within a session or so.
