***Official*** India in Australia

JBH001

International Regular
Hmmm, dunno about that. Only Sehwag and Tendulkar would be viable spin options. With Kumble gone, and Harbhajan looking the crap he usually is, I think it might be a bad idea. Could well see Australia winning it on the back of a final Gilly blitzkrieg (although that would be good to see)!

Tendulkar missed out getting a 500 run series (by 7 runs) for the first time ever
(was a surprise to me that this is his first 450+ series).

England were 89/5 at lunch last year and India are 2/142.

There are 66 overs remaining in the game according to cricinfo.....you feel if India don't lose their cool here, they should be safe.

India were in similar situation at Sydney when they had 9 wicket going into lunch aiming to bat out 72 overs which they failed to do.
Just get the feeling Sehwag's knock may have gotten Indiaover the line here.

WOW...they just showed the series bowling averages and Lee has been on a different planet than everybody else. I knew he'd been the best but not to this extent. If he can pick a few more wickets here then he's my Man of the Series. All 4 pitches have suited the batsman more so then the bowlers and having an average of 22 is simply incredible.

Only 24 overs this session!!!!:-O :-O What's wrong with Aussies? Weren't they got fined in the last test for slow over rate? I think these fines are just slap in the wrist. ICC have to do something serious about it.

Agreed, over rates aren't taken seriously enough by administrators and their slow down makes Test days more of a slow-down than they already are. Time to harden up on it. Never really had much time for bowlers who'd adjust the field extensively every ball. Just no need for it if the captain is on top of the situation.

Penalty should be in runs tbh.

Good to see Sehwag and Pathan doing well. Pathan was man of match in Perth and Sehwag is likely to get it here. Did India go wrong with their selection in first two tests?

Hindsight is always 20/20. Sehwag wasn't even in the picture in the 1st Test, having been dropped for England.

Why do Channel Nine commentators treat their viewers like brain dead mushrooms? ...insisting a result in this match is still possible. The chances of a result were stone dead last night.

Pretty poor pitch, even by Adelaide's standards IMO. On Day 4 and 5 it usually starts to give a bit back to the bowlers but we haven't even seen that here.
