Why has Kumble kept Sharma on?

This is what ****s me. They've done so well in the first 90 minutes, and they'll lose it in the last 30 and stuff the whole session up.

You picked it.

Sharma has raw potential, but isn't close to becoming the finished product yet. Too erratic, few wides and no-balls, he just needs to concentrate on the basics. I'm hoping he'll come back well in the afternoon and bowl a good, accurate spell. Even if he doesn't get any wickets I'm sure it'll do wonders for his confidence.

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
****. Stumping miss. A tad difficult as down the leg side but Ponting getting two lives in Sydney is maddening. *goes crazy*

First poor piece of glovework I've seen from Dhoni in a while, and it looks as though it will cost India dearly.

If he *doesn't* get a ton today, drop him.

For some reason, he looks petrified of Harbajhan...
When Harbi is getting bounce and turn (particularly before lunch on day 1), it must evoke similar emotions to when Ponting was wrecked by him in 2001. Be a decent test for him.

And thanks for yet another re-iteration, Perm. The CW equivalent of the guy who stands behind all the other tough guys and says "YEAH!" to every tough comment.
Always thought that was Rose tbh.

Ponting really not looking himself today. And I thought Sharma's five over spell this morning was great.

To be fair to Jaques, he has scored a lot of runs over the slips all his career, it's one of his favourite shots. Obv didn't come off, but I didn't think it was that bad. Hayden however, just received a beauty.
