Yeah agreed, Kartik was superb last night...but it is not unusual for these selection panels to make bizarre decisions.
It seems part and parcel with most selectors except the Australians.

Well Well haven't i ruffled a few feathers, I intend on going to the Boxing Day "Test" (I use the term lightly) and will enjoy it, watchin Bay 13 attack all the people who aren't supporting Australia, waving the flag and when Pigeon Mcgrath runs in yellin out "OHH AHH GLENN MCGRATH, OHH AHH GLENN MCGRATH OHH AHH GLENN MCGRATH, OHH AHH GLENN MCGRATH, OHH AHH GLENN MCGRATH, OHH AHH GLENN MCGRATH, OHH AHH GLENN MCGRATH"

Who said that culture was dead?:P

I don't know why I bother. I did start coming here to talk cricket, which is what I do more often than not, but I'm finding myself ostracized every time I say something.
What happened to taking things with good humour?

I think you'll probably find that most of the 'ostracisation' is in jest. :)

One of the funnier pictures I've seen was the Australian crowd copying everything that Ronnie Irani did during his warm-up. They were ALL wearing Aussie shirts as well. Really funny. Caption in the paper was 'Let's All Do A Ronnie, Let's All Do A Ronnie, nah nah nah nah'

I thought that we (some) were taking your remarks in good humour. You're certainly not being ostracised by me - I value my potsherds and like to think that I use them wisely (maybe a little Greek is required to understand that one).

Humour.... a liquid in the eye
There are two 'humours' - aqueous and vitrious.
Aqueous - watery - as in 'wet'
Vitrious - oily - from 'vitriol'

Which type do you want?

Don't worry we have lots of chants left for the poms next time don't worry. What do you mean Australia we have culture, just not a lot

luckyeddie, I've not found anything you said to be not in jest. Having read Devil Ducky's Diary, it's hard to imagine you could resist the temptation of a quip when it comes along. I do dislike Rik's constant attempts to refute everything I and other people say with weak subject matter (most of the time).

Chants? Chanting? You're gonna be chanting?? What happened to throwing s**t from Bay 13? :P

well i hope you dont miss the matches because of your job
Well they did say I only need to work 25-30 hours week, so I should be able to find some time watch the cricket. I have seen every single Australia since the opening one in Port-of-Spain in early 1999 straight through to now, except the 1st Test against Zimbabwe isnt counted as I saw about 1.1 overs.
