The indian team of this test has in total played 161 test ..wonder when we had such an inexperinced side playing before ..still this is no team for future surely 3-4 players in this side wont be playing too many test cricket

In b4 someone mentions India's first Test...

In b4 someone works out that in any of India's first 15 Tests, the side was less experienced.

Ya I know, was just asking.

It's safe to say that we'd get more than 2 wickets if Ishant played. Australia never had 340/2 in the last 3 tests.
Surely ishant wasn't named vice captain and then dropped. He's been rested here right?

Yep, so weldone stop blaming Kohli about team selection re: today's play.

Captaincy on field may have been off but got nothing to do with bowling.

I've already said that FFS.

Yes man, of course we saw 340/2 in all those 3 tests.

Seriously though, I expect Ashwin to do much better in the 2nd effort here. Good for Kohli if Ishant wasn't dropped indeed..

I'm just gutted for Pujara though. :(
I'm not. He has had technical and confidence issues (both seem to be interrelated imo) for a year now. He has had issues facing swing bowling in England. Technically he looked bad against Lyon in the first test. He isn't really convincing when facing bouncers. Let him sort out his technique in domestic cricket or by playing in England (provided BCCI still sends its players to England for domestic cricket).

If he is really good then he will sort things out and earn his place back in the team. Maybe there is a tendency that fans take things for granted. Personally for me he hasn't shown assurance that he is the long term solution for India's no.3 position.

Having said that, seeing Rohit Sharma scheduled to come one down for India is even more terrifying.
