Everyone saying 530 isn't a winning total, you are right if the series is still on the line (India Adelaide 03, England Adelaide 06) but it is when you've demolished any spirit left in the opposition.

You've got a win, or at least a draw, and definitely not going to win. So chill the **** out.

Dead rubber, not much inspiration for our bowlers, Indian batsman hungry for runs, flat pitch etc

If India doesn't make 400+ here...

Agreed. Some lazy batting post-lunch, but you can let Ponting and Clarke off for being a bit lazy.

Mind you, this could still become 600 quite easily.
Yeah, still fully expect a declaration around 600 rather than 550 all out, but I won't be counting any chickens until we see what the Indian batsmen are going to do on this surface.

Clarke knows how to do the business on a flat track wrt field settings/bowling plans tbf.

Not wetting any beds or anything, but Adelaide is Adelaide and there have been plenty of runs scored batting 2nd at Adelaide. NZ back in 2004 was the last side not to score 400+ in innings 2 here, and there have been 6 500+ scores in innings 2 in the last decade.

I'm not expecting much under 400 from India here. Probably not enough to save the game, but certainly no sub-200 collapse. (5th day could be very very different of course)

Apparently, there is quite a lot of grass on the pitch and this may slow the natural deterioration of the wicket over the course of the match

If that's the case, then it will be dull, dull, and duller for the next few days

Hopefully the heat counters that and it breaks up. We'll need to bowl well though.

They've got enough now. India is completely demoralised and hasn't given a yelp since day two Melbourne.

They will roll over here too. If they don't it just reinforces the FTB tag. If they capitulate again, they can just say the weren't feeling very well.

Or something.

Hot, dry and windy so she'll break up a bit.......on day 5........when it's going to piss down.

I have a feeling India will have batting issues again, have a feeling Aussies will find something in the pitch india couldn't. Expecting them to be all out for around 250.

Yeah Saha has been good. Scored a lot of goals for Fulham too.

Good come back by Yadav today too.

How has Saha gone with the gloves?
Very good

If I was an Indian selector, Dhoni would be on very thin ice as his batting and keeping are average, his presence (in tests at least) doesnt seem to inspire his team mates, and all the talk of him retiring from one form of the game can hardly be settling
