I can live with that.If everyone wants me to go through and move all the Ashes-specific stuff to another thread I'm quite happy to.

I think he will and should get Adelaide.Any words on VVS? Has he just ended his Test career on a duck?
We'll move ahead if we win the WI series though (assuming we win 4-0 here)Damn BCCI.
Has Haddin?Any words on VVS? Has he just ended his Test career on a duck?
Absolutely agreed, just feels wrong - but it's easy for us saying that when we're on winning side, on the verge of 3-0 having monstered them and he's had a terrible tour.I think he will and should get Adelaide.
Wouldn't be right to send him out in this fashion.
May as well, if it not too much work. Sorry my fault as I started it all.If everyone wants me to go through and move all the Ashes-specific stuff to another thread I'm quite happy to.
Just watching highlights now, actually. Got quite a working over in his brief stay.Has Haddin?
They played South Africa in a 2 Test series on very bowler-friendly pitches, you can't draw much from such a series in the context of bowlers.Scaly just be trolling. Last time I looked SA & India were #2 & 3 in tests. If they don't fit the "remotely decent" criteria it basically means only England does. Ergo Australia can't be any good until they play us.
Problem you have is you put so much crap on all the other teams it leaves you with no quality teams that England have won against.May as well, if it not too much work. Sorry my fault as I started it all.
Well to be fair, England's bowlers haven't done anything outside of typically fast bowling friendly conditions yet either. However, we've all actually been watching the cricket so we recognise the extreme high quality they've been operating at anyway, and rate them as such. Same deal here. They played South Africa in a 2 Test series on very bowler-friendly pitches, you can't draw much from such a series in the context of bowlers.
India are shot, the groundstaff could have concreted over Sydney and India would have still been too busy waving their white flag to have batted well. Playing India away from their cosy slow and low ****e at home doesn't much resemble Test cricket at the moment. It's just a slaughter
Playing in West Indies should be a much stiffer test for the bowlers, even though Australia should win. West Indies should at least put up a fight and we might see Bravo get going and then we'll see what Australia can come up with, instead of the procession of wickets which it has been against South Africa, New Zealand and India.
Starts front on but then almost looks like he's going to pivot like an off spinner. Would find it impossible to explain to someone despite the fact that it doesn't really look that odd.Bit of Andrew Hall in Vinay's action? Very front-on.
Well we stuff them we don't just beat them.Problem you have is you put so much crap on all the other teams it leaves you with no quality teams that England have won against.
I am ready to accept that perma-ban. How many series, forget series, how many test matches has Onions played? And, how many of those has he played Outside England? A fast bowler who has played a considerable amount of test cricket and taken 200+ test wickets is much better than a fragile one who struggles to play 5 matches in a row. Judging from your reaction one might think that I have said that Darren Gough is a better bowler than Dennis Lillee! If anybody is acting arrogantly, it is the common English cricket fan who has just begun to see success after years of torment and humiliation in the hands of Australians especially.Perma-ban please. Onions is light years ahead of that abject mediocrity, Onions is a guy who'd pick up lots of Test wickets against all teams at 30 instead of a guy who's just got his average below 35 and is largely useless against quality batting.
Back on topic I think Australian fans are getting ahead of themselves with their bowling.
Well when you beat a quality team tell me about it.Well we stuff them we don't just beat them.
Well you convicts best find some decent batsmen then or you'll have a bloody long wait.Well when you beat a quality team tell me about it.
It will be a long wait, the money is in IPL now and the ashes cant compete.Well you convicts best find some decent batsmen then or you'll have a bloody long wait.
IPL and 20/20 cricket in general is one reason why many sides are collapsing so often of late once there has been a bit of spice in the wickets. The players lack basic technique or the ability to concentrate for long periods without trying to smash the cover off the ball.It will be a long wait, the money is in IPL now and the ashes cant compete.
