About Brad Haddin's comments that the Indian players turn on each other easily, Dhoni said it was just his imagination. "As far as fights are concerned, I have never seen an Indian team fight," he said. "It's something that's happening after a few beers with the opposition. They are just sitting and dreaming of it. It has not happened. That's one thing we are really proud of. When we speak about the dressing-room atmosphere, and how we love each other's success, that has been the real strength of the Indian cricket team. And I don't see it moving in any other direction"

"Tendulkar returns to the scene of one of his most celebrated centuries - 114 against Craig McDermott, Merv Hughes, Mike Whitney and Paul Reiffel on a speedy pitch in 1992"

Coach, Selector, TV Host, Ump.

Tendulkar still going. That is so long ago. WAG.

Well Hughes isn't one anymore, and Whitney might not be one anymore either? But still....

Really cant see any point in playing Lyon as:

a. Given how little bowling he's done this series, his own captain obviously doesnt rate his chances against the Indians;

b. the Indians would welcome his inclusion; and

c. If the WACA is anything like last year, Starc is a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar better option

Looking forward to:

  • Seeing how many times the trotting track is mentioned
  • How many times Richie mentions the Fremantle Doctor coming in
  • Ian Chappell regaling us with stories about how Jeff Thompson used to hit the sight screen on the full whilst bowling

All of the regular cliches from this summer so far will be in force too.

- Tony Greig blaming BCCI for all of cricket's ills
- Ian Healy saying something offensive about a former cricketer then everyone nervously laughing it off
- Heals or Slats to mimic Richie's way of saying "2" at least once
- At least one shot of Brett Lee bowling in the nets
- How the outfield is "lightning quick"
- Richie (most likely candidate) complaining about the slips being too deep
- Someone stealing Bill Lawry's "It's all happening"
- Tony Greig talking up KFC Hotspot
- Richie mentioning a random moment from a test match played in the 1940s or 50s
- Curator's name mentioned at least 10 times before lunch
- If Warner gets out - "that's just how he plays". If Sehwag gets out - "terrible shot, he should know better."

Plus, they've increasingly mentioned how Siddle runs in all day this season. I'm tipping Slats to be the first to mention it in this test match.

Loved this. The word WACA will be mentioned at least 40 times before lunch on Day one. As well as some description of the legendary bounce and whether this year's version of the pitch will live up to that.

I actually love it with Bill says its all happening. He's been using that for what seems like 30 years.
