what a sentencePerfect day from here would be for Kohli to get a roughie. Gagging to see the lemonface.
Nah fair play that was a beautiful delivery. Tossed up, dropped on a fullish length just short of the drive and spun. There's not much shame nicking that.forget the 100, but what a time to get out with the new ball just looming. Should have played normally instead of just defending off Clarke, hate it when he gets into a defensive mindset.
I'm not talking about that one delivery, I meant for the last few overs he was defending a little too much. Ganguly mentioned the same thing on air as well.Nah fair play that was a beautiful delivery. There's not much shame nicking that.
That was the normal way to play that delivery. There's nothing in the rules that says Clarke isn't allowed to bowl a delivery too good for Tendulkar, time to get over it.forget the 100, but what a time to get out with the new ball just looming. He would have played that off the back foot or half back late, when looking to score of it. But he was just trying too hard to defend carefully there and be technically correct on the front foot for almost every delivery.Nah fair play that was a beautiful delivery. I think Lyon's problem is that he is always going to be giving the ball good flight, and his natural line is a fair bit outside off...on wickets where there isn't much on offer for him in terms of spin and bounce, he is basically just making easy for the batsmen to drive him etc. Clarke's trajectory has been much flatter and straighter, and better suited to these conditions.*
Not really, in my view. Clarke has a lot more Test and FC experience as a bowler than Lyon. He's going to have days where he's ineffective as he learns his craft at Test level. He's not exactly getting pumped which is good news in and of itself.
I'll quote myself again..That was the normal way to play that delivery. There's nothing in the rules that says Clarke isn't allowed to bowl a delivery too good for Tendulkar, time to get over it.

IMO his main problem is that he's been too full. It's fine if you bowl a wide line but if you're bowling that length too, there's really no risk driving against the spin when they're half-volleys.I think Lyon's problem is that he is always going to be giving the ball good flight, and his natural line is a fair bit outside off...on wickets where there isn't much on offer for him in terms of spin and bounce, he is basically just making easy for the batsmen to drive him etc. Clarke's trajectory has been much flatter and straighter, and better suited to these conditions.
Yeah, that's the main reason why it's probably unfair to compare Clarke to Lyon here.IMO his main problem is that he's been too full. It's fine if you bowl a wide line but if you're bowling that length too, there's really no risk driving against the spin when they're half-volleys.
It does help that Clarke turns the ball away from the RHer, ofc.
