Cowan didn't play a false stroke and there were good spells from Sharma, Zaheer and Ashwin. Ponting played well too.

Need quality bowlers to stop that happening, yours are just, meh.
Need to see how the Aussies bowl yet, an attack with Siddle and Hilfenhaus in it is never the most potent. Big pressure on the kid to perform here.

Cowan played well but his style of batting really needs some grenades being bowled at him to give you a real sense of watching "great" batting.

Looking at the score Australia possibly marginally ahead given the parlous state when the sixth peg went down. Alternatively you could say at 3/200 odd we were on target for 400, notwithstanding the odd middle-order collapse.
India let the game drift a bit towards the end and their bowlers looked a bit fatigued,
Ishant perhaps didn't get just reward for his toil but Yadav had a reasonable day at the office.
