Really surprised to see Warner's ODI SR is no better than his Test SR. :-O I just assumed it would be 90+ minimum.

Possibility that England chose Jordan/Woakes/Finn to put them in a bit of a shootout against each other, settle on their best combo by the end of the tri-series? Because surely Tredwell, as much as I don't rate over here, won't get a better pitch to bowl on in Aus.

This new ball attack is nearly really good, but at the moment it's still a level below whatever Australia or South Africa will put out.

Probably. But I would've considered Jordan an easy omission after the warm up games and Sri Lanka tour.

Anderson/Woakes and Broad first change. Jordan/Finn the 4th seamer
If Anderson and Woakes are playing they need the new ball as they might get hammered when they come on later by a set a batsman. Almost need them to bowl 6 or 7 straight off if we can to minimise damage off them later.

Finn has been such a letdown, just gone from a 90mph strike bowler to nothing in no time and hasn't got any form back over the last year. World Cup could be huge for him as if he flops he might not get a look in for a long time in any form of the game.

Tragic thing is that people still argue for Finn because of his pace and Cricinfo has him as the slowest of all the opening bowlers in this match.

I'd love to see a side on of Finn's action. Major kink in the elbow, have to wonder how much it straightens.

Juniad-esque.

He hasn't had pace for about 18 months. Something has gone drastically wrong with him. Broad had a spell when his pace was right down and got it back up again so maybe it will one day click back in but god knows when that will be.

Yup. It's a real shame how he's gone over the last few years. I know he hasn't been brilliantly handled, but ultimately it's down to him.

Finn got 12 months to sort it out IMO. If he is 27 and still serving up this guff he will be done.
