England looking like a nice sleeper pick for the WC atm.. too bad that a certain batsman is missing otherwise they would probably be one of the favorites.

I feel like Aussies kind of set the tone with the first spell of filth they bowled, kind of set up by Smith's captaincy imo. If they end up losing today I believe it might be due to that.

Much as I love him, Ian Bell and Paul Collingwood being on top of your all time ODI scorers list is an indictment of our ODI cricket over the years.

He was bowling Starc and Cummins from the opposite ends then they should have been and it was already too late by the time he changed.

I agree with the general sentiment though that captains are very often mindlessly blamed (and given credit for) for their players being crap (and good).

Pat cummins really worries me. Too wayward to do much when the pitch doesn't help him.
His control and bowling acumen have been strengths in his game coming through the ranks. It worries me seeing him spraying the ball around like this. Lack of continuity in his game is the first thing to come to mind, but I worry about the change of action.

Good to see England performing well in buildup to the WC. The amount of chopping and changing the've done to their top order over the last year or so suggested they might find it tough to post big scores.
