Brilliant guys. So now we need to figure out abilites. That's gonna be the toughest. Once we have identified the Hexes that effect ability, we could distribute various databses amongst people to see what effects the databses have on season averages.

Yeah sounds like a good idea... Id be willing to test your finished databases for averages etc... Ive got to do something lol...

Could somone post a link to a really good hex editor mine sucks and I dont know were to get a good one.

I think I may have some idea about player bowling ability's not sure yet.

I will probably know if I am right or not when Andre post's his stuff.

Having overwritten Atapattu's offsets 5-13 with Hoggard's (5E 7A 98 0D 05 3C 90 04 00) and simmed the first 3 matches of SL's tour to England:

Marvan/Matthew has 30 runs @ 6.00 and 18 wickets @ 15.28.

I have lectures now, over to Sam, Gio, Tiger & Halsey!

Have you tried editing the other teams to other European countrys

Can you change the schedule ?

Can you change the Trophy names ?

OK, I have found some stuff about contracts...

If the hex number is 10-19, he has no contract.

If the hex number is 20-29, he has a 1 year contract.

If the hex number is 30-39, he has a 2 year contract.

If the hex number is 40-49, he has a 3 year contract.

If the hex number is 50-59, he has a 4 year contract.

If the hex number is 60-69, he has a 5 year contract.

If the hex number is 70-79, he has a 6 year contract.

If the hex number is above 80, he has a - 1 year contract, which is where it ends.

BTW, for future reference, hex numbers go up to F.

Seventh offset

8 and 0 for batsmen, 9 for bowlers

Second digit controls ability in some way:
9 0-7 All Rounders
9 8-F Bowlers

8/0 0-7 Openers
8/0 8-F Not Openers

Not too sure of the 8/0 difference yet.

0(8)-7(F) is a raw batting skill value

Hoggard & McGrath are 0/8
Pietersen, Samaraweera & Bassano are 5/D
Bradman is 6

8 over-rides any bowling stats the player has and siginifies him as a batsman.



Batting attribute offset found - don't think they're totally cracked yet mind.

If the second half of the fifth offset is odd, he's a wicket keeper.

The first digit of the ninth offset then controls whether he's a keeper-batsman (1) or out and out wickie (0) - even if offset 5 doesn't denote him that way. Might make him a not-very good keeper.

First digit of eleventh offset has some control over bowling ability

1/9 = competent up through A,B,C,D,E (Alec Stewart).

There may be some 8 digit separations here, too.

Doesn't seem to affect Economy Rates one bit, however (maybe that's the 13th offset, or 2nd digit of the 11th?)
