The current crop of Indian seamers looks terrible. They go for over seven, eight and nine runs an over. On the other hand, we've seen Mishra finish with a tight economy-rate and Yusuf, with three wickets and a decent economy. It makes no sense to replace a spinner who's bowling well with a seamer who's bowling utter rubbish, even if this is South Africa. Most teams will thrash this seam attack with ease. Playing three of these seamers doesn't make any sense.

you can't be basing your points on what happened in a practice game! Remember Ind did well in warms in this years T20 WC and even in 2007WC but ............

i agree that seamers are not spot on but the answer to that would be playing an extra bowler something like below

- Dravid
- Raina
- Dhoni
- Karthik/Kohli/Nayar/YP
- Bhajji
- Mishra
- Praveen/RP
- Ishant
- Nehra


Tomorrow someone will say that pacers are no good lets open the bowling with all-rounders like Nayar and YP

we'll have to see how Amir & Umer Akmal perform aganist india
i know Amir has played a warm up t20 aginst india but this is the first time, both new players will be playing aginst india
i wish Sehwag & Yuvraj were in indian team, cuz otherwise now if we beat them , they will say They didn't have Sehwag & Yuvraj, & if they beat us they 'll say they beat us Without Sehwag & Yuvraj LOL

And i think he did pretty good against Gambhir, didn't offer much width to him.....it is Umar Gul that i am personally a bit concerned....he is raring to go...but this guy is best when he stays quite and just bowls...when he starts talking big, thats when he bowls *hit.....

I want to see an Imran Nazir ton against India........big time.....

and a quickfire 50 from Umar......that would be something.....Hope Pak wins the toss and bats first......

A week ago i was not too hyped up about the game...but as its getting closer.......hmmmm....i am kinda feeling excited..........IndoPak games do wonders .....regardless of when they are played or where......even a warm up was sold out...lol

Re: Zaheer being average v Pakistan, I don't know why it needs reiterating that he is a much improved bowler from the dire bowler he was in the past.

^ Exactly my point........i don't know why would he would want a game like this at Wanderers......like the early batting scare wasn't enough against WI.......

Yes first they need to make those pitches at home practice on them and then pray that a game is in Wanderers, right now, they are the same......subcont. pitch specialists....

So you are wrong about Akhtar and Rana in particular. You are right about Sami....

I don't agree on the Asif point....only 7 ODI's may be a bit harsh on him, because where he has a ridiculous avg. in ODI's against India, he has a great avg. in the Tests......remember the Karachi test......?

And guess what........Rana has hair now.........

Apart from that 6/27 by Rana, I don't see any meaningful contribution by Pak pacers.
