Warner 268* at stumps
Thanks for taking that quote out of context. So you're saying 3 for **** all inside 2 overs isn't a recipe for success?? Who'd have thought........
3 out all out. Lose 3 immediately and it's an under 9s scorecard. Thanks for taking that quote out of context.
My point was that our middle order has been dire for some time and yesterday simply exposed it. Marsh, Voges and Clarke all got out to terrible shots. Nevill played way too late. Warner and Rogers got out to genuinely good balls. Smith has enough credit in the bank for his poor shot - occasionally you'll nick off early in your innings.
Yesterday's poor effort is largely the result of our middle order being dire for way too long.
Exactly.3 out all out. Lose 3 immediately and it's an under 9s scorecard.
Some effort to manage it but he is.Warner is actually looking worse here than he did in his 50 in the second innings at Cardiff.
If you have his natural striking ability, eye and solid enough technique you'll do that more often than not. He is never going to average high 40s/50s but I'd always pick a bloke who can go off and dominate on majority of pitches in world cricket.I don't know why warner getting jammy runs is a surprise to anyone. One of his hundreds in SA was pretty ****ing terrible actually. Had plenty of luck with edges.
