Random thought, but I know a lot of people hate that we give an MOTS for each side in series over here, but Dravid deserves the award that he'll be picking up
Quite so. His efforts should've shamed his teammates. Bumble just made the point about him being shunted around the order too. It's no secret he doesn't like opening, but he's manned-up and done it for the good of the team.

Contrast with the pea-hearted efforts of Gambhir and Sachin's refusal to move from #4, meaning VVS has to come in at three, despite not having the best game for the swinging new ball.

Warne especially damning about Burgey's mate Sicknote. Fair call; does need to grow a pair.

tbf laxman actually has expressed his desire to bat at 3/4 a number of times. some of his top knocks have come while batting at 3.

but yeah tendulkar should've batted at 3 in this series in those situations, particularly yesterday. hardly makes a difference if you come in at 5 for 1 after 3 overs or 24/2 after 7 overs.

Swann needs to come around the wicket to the right-hander more often when there's this much turn.

Swann needs to come around the wicket to the right-hander more often in general IMO. He just bowls so much better from that angle; gets more revs and a much better shape overall.

Some quality shining from Cook, clearly. A good polish from the man who doesn't sweat™ and an outswinger to order.

Gambhir showing how much of a team man he is.

Good ball by Jimmy, should make short work of Mishra, hope Dravid gets his ton.

concussion is a serious thing. it ain't a broken small toe. if the doctor and gambhir don't have 100% confidence he shouldn't bat....and really it's not gambhir's call. should be up to the doctor. over here a footballer who gets concussion doesn't come back in the same match. it doesn't go away with a little nap.

personally i don't think he should bat
