He'd left the previous ball in exactly the same place, should of left it.
First look suggests it would have been a tight leave for a top batsman let alone a number eight. You're right the one before was very similar but difficult for a batsman like Bresnan to trust the leave there especially with it reversing in a touch.

Be interesting to see how Trott plays this now. Maybe not so much while Swann's there, presumably will just continue as he has done. But if he finds himself with with Jimmy and Tremlett, can he and will he look to really step it up, he should do naturally, just get the feeling he won't be too keen on giving his wicket away!

Given the match situation, can't say I'd blame Trott for plying for the red ink.
