I don't believe this, I ****ing well don't believe it. Rudi ****ing Bowden, come on down you ****ing ****.

Don't give me the "Ooh there were two noises" **** either. How about "Ooh he's an international ****ing umpire". There were 4 inches of daylight between the bat and pad.

****ing dire.

This is like watching Zimbabwe against Bangladesh at the moment. The 2 sides are absolutely clueless tactically. No matter how stupid you are, you would have given Clark the new ball ahead of Siddle.

Oh on the replays and on hotspot he was gone. I even thought Bowden was going to give him out.

Pitch looks pretty slow and somewhat dead from what we have seen so far.

Haddin just took the last ball from Hilfenhaus at his feet to give you some indication of the slowness of the pitch. That Hauritz non-selection looking great at the moment

Ponting probably reckons that Clark and Johnson make a better combination than either of Clark and Hilfenhaus, or Siddle and Johnson.

Just got in from the dentist, yet seeing our teamsheet has caused me far more pain. 1-1 going to the Oval then.

Its not about permutations and combinations. You give the 2 bowlers most likely to take wickets with the new ball the new ball. The only reason Siddle was given the new ball this series was because Johnson couldnt control it. With Clark there, neither of them needed to take that responsibility and they could both have gone all out at first and second change. Its not like Clark couldn't have come back for his 2nd spell to bowl with Johnson during his first either.

Edit: Looks like its worked though, Siddle has pouched Strauss and England are well on their way to making a mess of the advantage they have this series.
