*Official* Fourth Test at Chester-le-Street

Also another thing to observe: Australia's opening pair is a hell lot better than England's. With Warner/Rogers, they have a guaranteed flow of runs (Warner) and a steady batsman in Rogers.

WOW!

I gotta say I don't like Warner opening. I reckon while Watson is in the team he should stay an opener. More often than not he can see off the new ball, and you don't really lose much from him if he gets out cheaply anyway, because he just doesn't score that many runs anywhere. Warner on the other hand can make big runs, and would be better suited to 3 imo.

Seeing off the new ball doesn't really achieve much if you're not ticking the scoreboard along.

I couldn't really care less in the context of this team atm if the scoreboard is ticking along or not when the ball is still new. The most important thing is that it is seen off though, because otherwise our middle order is exposed like it is now. In any case, Watson usually does keep the scoreboard ticking?

Why doesn't Broad bowl this length more often? He actually looks a good bowler rather than an average one.
