that point of impact is saying the predictive element doesnt matter.
It just comes up on impact because that's where it measures how far away from the stumps it is. The rules are like that because of the predictive element but it's calculated at impact so that's where it comes up on your screen.
I'm a bit confused. I understand why it stays with the umpire if he gives it not out. But what would have happened if the umpire had given him out and Pietersen had reviewed?

Wasn't it missing stumps anyway so it would have been not out?

Bairstow in the quicksand again. If he sticks with Bell though it isn't as bad as 1st innings where neither he or Prior where going anywhere.

yeah but if hawkeye had said that it was hitting the stumps, would it have been out? even though the ball clearly hit outside the line, it was given as umpires call so must have been.
