is there something wrong in calling a road a road? if this is how the home team wants their pitches then more power to them, it just makes it boring for the others to watch
Honestly if the reply was that Australians should know plenty about roads given how many horrific ones Australian curators have served up in the last decade then fair cop. But "it's not a road!" is just bewildering.

I'm sure someone will explain to me how Bairstow running past a straight break somehow makes this a spinning deck though.

Pitches should be judged objectively by the amount of movement laterally and vertically they produce. Not whether the cricketers playing on them do stupid **** or not.
