It was dumb and nothing that happened after changes that.
It does and it’s dumb to you and many others. Not to the England captain or team though. It was how they thought they could win

catches dropped, wicket with a no ball of the motm not contribute at all?

For decades England have been hammered by teams all over the world. We are now attempting to go full throttle to win and if we lose so be it
So England are a small dick middle age man, who happened upon a bit of money at the same time as their mid-life crisis, and now are like "**** good decisions, time to buy a Ferrari".

And this is a good thing?

The same gamble won them 3-0 in Pakistan, had they approached it the traditional way, the series would have ended in a draw.

England should stick to it's strengths and prepare greentops instead. Sure, Australia have a great bowling attack but English batters are comfortably better against the moving ball than Aussies.
It has nothing to do with tradition. This simply happened because they correctly judged that they were a significantly better Test side in those conditions, than Pakistan.

Now, on the trot they've incorrectly estimated that they are significantly better sides than both New Zealand and Australia, and it's bit them in the ass. That is more or less the definition of both arrogance, and comeuppance.

James Anderson match figures of 1/109 was his worst match figures at Edgbaston since his first test match played at this ground in 2003 , that was the match where a young Graeme Smith got 277 , Anderson 1/149 in 26 overs..Twenty years ago incredibly .

It's almost like trying to prepare pitches as closely to what the opposition are used to even though they haven't won a series in your country for twenty years just so you can beat your chest and feel like a big man while Crawley strikes at 75+ isn't actually a good idea.

Pakistan came closer to winning the 2nd test chasing 300 odd and the third one they lost because of rubbish playing. Not that bazball was the only thing that got England winning there.

Anyhow my point is that bazball is tunnel visioned one way strategy which is not sustainable everywhere nor against all opposition

Great match! At what point does bazzball become more about the results than entertainment? I get Stokes and England are happy to be part of a great game as they were in NZ, but if they lose 3 of these great games on the bounce will they still go on about the entertainment factor? I have said before Bazball and this wanting to play entertaining cricket no worries about the result feels like a cop out to me.
