It doesn't make any sense. If you're going for a flat pitch why leave out Mark Wood the one guy who can force things on a flat pitch and go with 3 medium pacers instead?

If you are gonna bowl trash like that. Take out a few slips and put them in the circle (haha) on the off side in front of the batsman

Anderson has long since worked out how to take wickets on these kind of pitches. It's seen a lot of sunshine over the last couple of days, don't think it's a typical Day 1 pitch, more like Day 2 or older.

England going at 6 an over and haven't really gone hard at the bowling yet.
