The worst thing about the RPM meter is that each bowler is nearly always the same. We now know that Agar is 1900-2000 whereas Swann is 2100-2200. There really is no need to show it every bloody ball.

You could say exactly the same thing about the speed gun though.

Bowlers vary their pace, and spinners vary their revs. They still show the speed after every ball.

I personally think that the RPM thing could be more interesting in one day cricket, where spinners will bowl more variations and change their pace more regularly.

Yep, they hide the speed gun on the info bar though rather than having a stupid popup.
Yeah I love looking at the revs but the popup is seriously annoying, even for someone like me who's looking at it every ball. If there's no space they should just replace the speedo for the spinners.

CW way to harsh on broadcasters IMO, not just commentators, now here we are complaining about a small, barely noticeable pop-up that actually provides good insights.

TBH we're lucky in the UK to have sky when your watch some of the tripe served up when the ICC does a tournament.
