i don't think they were comfortable with the amount of game-time Harris and Bird had in them, keeping in mind that Harris started bowling at his fullest halfway into the Aus A tour, and Bird was probably the same.

if what you say about Harris only recently hitting full stride, that means the **** turned the shield final on its head at 80% and with Watson bowling now they should've taken the risk
