Nah I don't think so. Clarke was always going to bat four whether we thought it was a good idea or not. I did expect Hughes to come in ahead of Smith but they did bat in this exact order in the last tour game.

Sort of. He has a British passport. England have self-imposed stricter qualification rules than the ICC though so he would've needed to play county cricket for a couple of years first I believe.
