Well tbh, I think his average will drop a little below 50 over time.

Yeah its crazy really, when I saw the initial squad I thought fair enough Finch can captain the short format matches and Smith the serious stuff. Finch is the sort of **** who will probably dominate in the first class matches now and then come back to Vic and struggle to reach double figures.

I do think Finch could possibly storm right into test contention if he has even has a good 10 game FC run......but he wasn't even playing in the shield last year so you just can't pick him. Bailey should have been called in, or at least former Australia A captain Tim Paine given the VC
