I wear glasses for distance which means I used to field and bat in them. Was under the impression if your going to wear contacts it was best to wear them all the time. So you get used to them and don't have to adjust back and forth.
I could switch between if i wanted to with no problem, i just couldnt be assed. Plus once your used to contacts you just forget about them (although as spark said, maybe thats not the case for everyone), unlike glasses which are always kind of 'there'.

yea i find glasses better too, would probably prefer to bat in them if all the movement didn't jerk them around and also look like a ****.

Long way to go yet but a good start. Rogers the key here for Australia, as he's the one who won't give his wicket away easily. I can see him trying to be the rock in the chase

Bookies reckon Australia have a pretty decent chance. I do mostly agree, chasing is definitely easier than it used to be. There's always a lot of records wheeled out but you don't get set reasonably big scores with enough time left in the game to chase them very often.

Although that said, it would need be a batting performance so much better than anything we've seen previously from this Australia side as to be a bit surreal.

Think once the ball stops swinging, which looks like it could be pretty soon really, Watson should really go for it. The pitch is only going to deteriorate so fast runs in the next session will be invaluable.

Bookies haven't watched Oz bat recently

Bookies had Aus at 6-1 earlier, and I'd have jumped at that if I betted.

Terrific little retrospective on Gem of Stan McCabe's 232 at this ground in 38. Far too short though, instead they put these idiotic montages together that run for ages. ****s
