Gonna be a long long summer for Australia if this is anything to go by. Of course last time England had a pretty bad first day and that wasn't an indicator of anything to come...

Nice shot George.

Broad has bowled just about the worst of the lot and has every wicket in the match. lol, just lol. The aussies have handed their wickets over. Got a touch of the New Zealands about it.

What was Border's excuse then?
I know you aren't the one saying it, but I'm getting sick of hearing people saying that it is hiding at number 5. It isn't, unless you have Ramdin and Sammy at 6 and 7 or say for Australia having Faulkner and Ludeman. With Smith (or Bailey) behind Clarke and then the keeper and Johnson behind him, there is nothing wrong with batting at 5 and if we continues to come in at 3-50 we are picking the wrong guys at the top of the order.

Rogers and Clarke both good nuts.

And once again Watson is the cause of a batting collapse.

I can't believe how awful our batting has become. Would much rather Hughes instead of Watto really. At least Hughes learns as his career progresses. By contrast, Watto throws tantrums.

Oh man, that was close to another one gone.

TPC to dig us out of trouble, obvs. Being the best batsman in the country and all.

So, just a brief statistical comparision as we ease into the second session:

Batting averages of Aussie top 7 from today's vs England: 36, 35, 36, 52, 34, n/a, and 33. Batting averages of Bangladesh top 7 from last test vs New Zealand: 38, 10, 26, 83, 37, 32, 45.

Australian mean batting average (best 6): 37
Bangladesh mean batting average (best 6): 43.5

That is all. Enjoy the cricket, fellas.
