Something about Doherty's action reminds me of Paul Harris.
Front arm, and lack of work on it. Hopefully it gets a bit better as the Test goes on, as I reckon it's a sign of nerves. Looked a lot stronger in the other times that I've seen him this season.

Not that dropping a catch will help.

Think it's the way he sort of "skips" into his action, if you know what I mean. Harris doesn't really get off the ground when he jumps into his action, Doherty looks similar in that respect.
