It's tough on England ( at that drop though) but they can't drop their heads. Restricting the lead < 200 juuust about still keeps them in the game (a couple of partnerships could wipe that out if they bat out of their skins). Australia have to raise their sights now to a 500+ run total.

Feel we have to lift the run-rate a bit here. Don't want there to be any chance of a draw, especially with some potentially dodgy weather.

Dunno, the heads have dropped, the crowd are on their backs, the best thing for australia would be to get bowled out and have an hour at us.

I really couldn't see us getting to stumps unscathed.

Braddy's SR is about to blast through 50. The hard yakka against consistently threatening bowling this morning is starting to be offset by merrymaking.

By the way, this is why those who picked Tim Paine were out of their minds. Haddin, like Prior, is a proper batsman capable of scoring genuine Test hundreds. Unlike Prior, he can also keep wicket.

Actually Andersen hasn't looked particularly threatening after his first spell either. Partnership like this just make all the bowling look bad. Soon as a wicket falls, they will all look better.

45 overs to go in the day's play. Plenty of time to go well past 500. I'd think Australia should bat atleast 30 of those overs if they possibly can.
