*Official* First Test at Lord's

I've always wondered why bowlers seem to completely forget the yorker in Test matches, tbh.
Same issue in ODI's.

The margin for error when bowling yorkers is so high, but surely it's worth the risk if you have the batsmen playing comfortably from the crease.

Sharma's pitch map  A lot of people have talked about his length, but his line was pretty unedifying as well.

Well yes, they may be trying a yorker when KP whips a half volley off his legs for 4. Then everyone moans because they can't hit a good length. But that's Test Cricket.

Wow at that slip cordon comparison. And even England's cordon is a tad packed for my liking.

So the yorker for him would be shorter too.He is moving accross so can be in trouble with a low full toss on leg too.
It narrows the angle though. When he's that far down the pitch, a ball that's hitting leg stump arrives on his pads even when he's standing a foot outside off.

A forward short leg would probably discourage Pietersen from flicking everything to the onside, because he's getting quite a few inside-edges on to his pads.
