Yeah more a murmur. To be fair it's not a traditional snick.tbf to 3rd ump, there was oddly no line on sniko other than when it was clearly a gap. Face of the bat not caused a spike?

Ah it was Menon my bad.Yeah you missed something, it was Dharmasena
Yes he hit it, that's why Hawkeye stopped tracking 3 meters out coz it picked it upcould've sworn it went off the face of the bat looking at the front on view
That's not how it worksYes he hit it, that's why Hawkeye stopped tracking 3 meters out coz it picked it up
Dharmasena just got to see it live hasn't he really, hardly disguisedYeah more a murmur. To be fair it's not a traditional snick.
Apparently it did this timeThat's not how it works
I certainly don't think this is an easy pitch to bat on, though. England collapsed pretty hard too, they just scored quicker and got lucky with a lot of drops. This really isn’t a bowling paradise like Australia are making it seem
I don't blame the onfield ump for missing it but Menon missing it on the replay is up there with one of the more bizarre pieces of TV umpiring. Would have been up there with that infamous Khawaja dismissal where he missed it by about six inches had it been straighter.Dharmasena just got to see it live hasn't he really, hardly disguised
No I mean the 3m doesn't refer to the ball stopping tracking or anything, it's just a umpire's call style warning if the batsman is a long way down the pitchApparently it did this time
Not at all. They could have been all out for 150 half an hour ago if they played more aggressively, who knowsThis is where the slow scoring of Marnus and Khawaja has come back to bite them. Another 60 runs and they would be alot more in the game. If the pitch has a bullet with your name on perhaps it is better to have 60 off 80 rather than 9 .
Nah he got it right it as the 3rd ump whoever that isYeah you missed something, it was Dharmasena
Catching has been the big difference for sure.I certainly don't think this is an easy pitch to bat on, though. England collapsed pretty hard too, they just scored quicker and got lucky with a lot of drops.
Yeah but surely it detects the first point of impact. Hawkeye doesn't know if it's pad or bat or whatever. No I mean the 3m doesn't refer to the ball stopping tracking or anything, it's just a umpire's call style warning if the batsman is a long way down the pitch
Rob Quiney objects...Looked pretty bad at the time tbf.
There haven't been all that many good scores of 9 really.
Yeah, is he allowed to just look at the replay though and go I can see he has hit it if sniko isn't conclusive? Dunno if he is like bound by procedure or something. But yeah was just a stinky review for absolutely every single reasonI don't blame the onfield ump for missing it but Menon missing it on the replay is up there with one of the more bizarre pieces of TV umpiring. Would have been up there with that infamous Khawaja dismissal where he missed it by about six inches had it been straighter.
Slow scoring is alright but not scoring I don’t know what the plan is there the commentators said if a few wickets fall then Aus are in trouble and that’s exactly what’s happenedNot at all. They could have been all out for 150 half an hour ago if they played more aggressively, who knows
Nah he got it right it as the 3rd ump whoever that is
No the point of impact is manually chosen by an operator who would presumably know to pick it as hitting the pad.Yeah but surely it detects the first point of impact. Hawkeye doesn't know if it's pad or bat or whatever.
Had Australia caught properly it wouldn't have been an issue...Cummins should've made Australia bat first smh. This is Oval 2019 repeat again. Potentially even worse than that..
