*Official* Fifth Test (The Oval, London) 27-31 July

White Ball

State 12th Man
Long way to go but this start shows Straya are at the very least going to play with the intent to win rather than just try and bat the overs for a draw

Stuart Broad aside, it would be poetic end to Warner's arc if he could nudge his way to a score here as the ultimate deconstructed batsman.

Basically like every finger spinner
Well particularly so Murphy, since he doesn't really flight the ball or, gets the overspin like Lyon which makes him such a threat to batters that might offer a bat-pad catch.

If the 3rd Test was "basically even" then so was the 1st.

Which makes it 2-1 England from the other 3, assuming Aus don't get close this game.
Where are getting 2nd England win from? The 4th test was drawn and Australia won 1st two tests.

Unless taking about balance of play or this test.

Remember these facts-
No lyon
Played extra draining test WTC final
Lost the tosses
Played David Warner
Labuschagne sweep shot which he rarely plays
No marsh 1st two tests
Pat Cummins had to play all 6 tests because he's captain very disadvantaged.

Devil's advocate here, but Australia could well chase this. Haven't been paying attention to this test but the pitch still seems flaaat as, and Aus do have Khawaja–Labuschagne–Smith–Head–Marsh.

I wish Warner would realise he should have been out and just go the tonk. Playing this way, he's out for less than 30.

Wait for roller to wear off. What roller did England choose?

Yeah Smith with his fabulous 4th innings average of 28 with no centuries.

We could be 0/200 and I wouldn’t be confident
