Haha. Hilarious. Law's only test innings, the same match Ponting debuted he was 75* or something very close to that. He surely should have been next in line when a batting position opened, given he was so versatile in the midle order.

Love's last test innings was 100* if memory serves me correct and he averaged mid 50s.

Hodge also socred 200 a few tests before he was dropped.

All these players' careers were hijacked by internal politics, but I guess it's not a problem if the team is winning.
I thought Love and Law's careers also suffered because they got their spots filling in for a very good player when they were injured. There weren't a lot of opportunities during the 90's and early 2000's in the middle order.

Love should have played the full tour in the West Indies when Martyn was injured. They played Bichel at 7 and Love only got a gig when Ponting was injured in the last test.
