I thought Love and Law's careers also suffered because they got their spots filling in for a very good player when they were injured. There weren't a lot of opportunities during the 90's and early 2000's in the middle order.Haha. Hilarious. Law's only test innings, the same match Ponting debuted he was 75* or something very close to that. He surely should have been next in line when a batting position opened, given he was so versatile in the midle order.
Love's last test innings was 100* if memory serves me correct and he averaged mid 50s.
Hodge also socred 200 a few tests before he was dropped.
All these players' careers were hijacked by internal politics, but I guess it's not a problem if the team is winning.
Love should have played the full tour in the West Indies when Martyn was injured. They played Bichel at 7 and Love only got a gig when Ponting was injured in the last test.I thought Love and Law's careers also suffered because they got their spots filling in for a very good player when they were injured. An hour? I'd be happy with another 20 minutes of this. Amazing to watch. If there is a God, he'll give us another hour of this.
