The luckiest thing for us is that Harmison may not be required to actually do anything, 4 overs in the first innings and he'll get to bowl in the 4th innings when he'll probably only get a few overs unless he does well. )
Corrected

Not much chance to play himself out of the selectors thoughts. (Plenty of chances for the Aussies to play him into selectors thoughts mind)
Aye - he'll probably tour SA unless we're only taking 4 quicks.

Hopefully Strauss and Trott can pile on an extra50-70 runs between them, if that can be done, and then an extra however many from everyone else, then that should be the match in the bag, hopefully.

If Glenn McGrath came out of retirement (and was at his peak) for a 10-over spell, I'd say this game was evenly poised. However, think England are 65-35 at this stage.

Shows what Test cricket is all about this series, doesn't have to be world-beating cricket (though it was good yesterday) for it to be so intriguing. Australians fought back really well last night with the ball, awesome effort given what had happened with the bat.

And Collingwood looked like a plonker with the bat, he mustn't like Ashes deciders at the Oval because he looked like rabbit in headlights at the Oval too.
Err you mean when he got sawn off in his first dig and lasted 50odd balls in a critical situation in the second whilst KP was belting his way to 150?

What a night on TV here. Aussie Rules, NRL, cricket and kick n clap all on at once, with SDPL later tonight.

Pity I'm so tired from last night really.

Our bowlers might want to take note of what Stuart Broad said yesterday, i.e he bowled at the top of off-stump. Probably worth a try  And preferably not a right-hander's off-stump when a left-hander is facing.

if eng can manage 250 in 2nd innings game over
