not a bad second half tbh, still time for a winner I reckon.Yep. Great first half.
Yeah, bit embarrassing for the 14 teams below them imo.Looking at the table, I am amazed at how for all the drama surrounding the Manure are 6th.
I think that a few of the games they won have been very late goals where the performance wasn't very good but they took the points.Looking at the table, I am amazed at how for all the drama surrounding the Manure are 6th.
Tbf it's only pointless for us because we've already qualified. Some great games in the last week or so in club football. Oh well, lets have a break for some pointless International rubbish!!
Obviously its all subjective but their best win in the premier league was probably beating Fulham away and then robbing Brentford at OT a few weeks ago which is not exactly inspiring . Then the other wins come against Luton and Wolves at home and away against SU and Burnley and all by a mere goal. They lost at home to Palace, Brighton and City and also lost away to Spurs and Arsenal.I think that a few of the games they won have been very late goals where the performance wasn't very good but they took the points.
Fulham and wolves game they shouldn't have really won and the Copenhagen game they needed a late penalty save.
Pretty evident they wasted their limited money. They overspent on Mount, who doesn't suit the system and then gambled on Hojlund, who's too inexperienced to lead the line as the main man for Man Utd. Onana made abit more sense given the season he just had at Inter but there was always a chance he wouldn't be suited to the prem and was being protected by a defensively robust Inter side. From what I can see, Man United's recruitment has been really haphazard and seems to have sucked out the confidence of their better players. Fernandes and Rashford seem nothing like as good as they have been.
Good onelimited money.
If it wasn't limited don't you think they'd have just bought Amrabat outright?Good one
Does £200m count as 'limited' now?If it wasn't limited don't you think they'd have just bought Amrabat outright?
Pretty hard to turn over an entire squad for that amount. There's no doubt they've spent badly, which was actually my point.Does £200m count as 'limited' now?
I do essentially agree with you. As for those signings, they needed a keeper, Onana seemed a good bet, it's not quite worked out so far. Hojlund looks a potential star, I'd give him more time. I have literally no idea what they were doing signing Mount, Chelsea must've been pissing themselves over that (and they're hardly Transfer Kings either).Pretty hard to turn over an entire squad for that amount. And I can't believe I'm even defending United here...
What a random thing to selectively respond to from that entire post lol.
