Arsenal are going to win at least one title with this squad for sure, whether thats this season or next or the future idk but they’ve got the squad and mentality already for it

Casemiro was hilarious there for that goal
You should watch the CP goals. He really can’t do it or won’t. Playing him with a fit 19 yo CB is malpractice.

Amarabat was ok in his preferred position but just seems like a slow version of Fred. Overall 1-0 isn’t a terrible result when Casemiro and McTominay mean you’re often playing with 9. If ETH was hoping someone outside his top 11 would show they wanted to play in the FA cup final they didn’t.

Those comments about Bruno being up for sale in the summer are hilarious. Maybe start by actually selling everyone over 30.

The videos all over social of the roof leaking badly perfectly encapsulate the Glazers time at United. Coming the same week as a recommendation for a new training facility. The same sort of attitude they have shown in Tampa for facilities. IE expecting the city to pay

Saliba is total class. What a player.

Think City win it but Arsenal are as close as Liverpool were a couple of times and this side deserve a title.

Can't see Spurs doing Arsenal a favour so it's City.

That's just the American way. Kroenke got the public of St Louis to fund a new stadium for hundreds of millions then moved the Rams to LA a couple of years later. The public in St Louis are still paying tax dollars for a stadium that hasn't been used in years 🤣

To who, exactly? The problem is that Bruno is probably the only player you'd get a decent enough fee for and he's heading towards his career twilight very fast. I'd sell him if a good offer came in for sure.

I don't think you'd get many clubs beating down United's door to buy Bruno for whatever price they wanted plus whatever ridiculous wage he's on.

edit: forgot Saudi existed.

I can't see Spurs doing them a favour either, but got a feeling West Ham might cause problems in the same way that Villa and QPR did in previous years.

The scary part is this is City's 'off' season - at least until Pep goes.

They recruited quite poorly in the summer and had a stuttering start. At best they end this season on 91pts, which is fewer than normal under Pep. Arsenal are going to have to find a way to improve next season to keep pace and it's hard to see exactly how they do that.

Deserving a title has nothing to do with it against this juggernaut that is City. You have to be practically perfect and even then it probably will not be enough.

A striker would seem to be the obvious area they could improve.

My state of ennui with the top end of the EPL would be lesss pronounced if any of the top 3 had actually made it beyond the quarter finals in their European competions. As it is, it's hard to stiffle a bored yawn if City win it again.

If we sell him I'll feel much more confident that the club is being properly run under INEOS. Exactly the type of sale we've failed to get done since Fergie left. We always seem to want to wait until after players obviously have nothing left to give, at which point nobody wants them.

Maybe on paper, but its not as simple as adding a striker and expecting more goals. Their attack has been electric most the season and a large reason for that is the link-up play of Jesus/Havertz. They should end up with ~90 goals and there's only been two sides in the last decade that have scored 100+ goals, both being City.

Similar things were said about Firmino over the years when in reality it was always about the output from the wingers. Arsenal should be expecting more from Martinelli if he's going to be their long term left-winger

Were the youngest squad in the league, why is it not reasonable to just expect the team to get better as they approach their peak?

Why is it assumed that City will get better?

Because they have one of the best track records in the league when it comes to recruitment and a genius manager. How many games have they looked at their best this season?

I think it's a valid point that they lost KdB for half of it, Haaland has only been about 80% and they've taken time to adapt post Gundogan.

Meanwhile, Guardiol is clearly a world beater and is only going to get better, Foden keeps improving and they'll no doubt sign more quality in the Summer too. It does feel like an opportunity missed for others this season if City do still win it.
