I thought Palace would struggle too but they’ve been pretty good all season. Vieira, Arteta, and Xavi are making me wonder whether good managers nowadays are just guys who have spent time in the general vicinity of Guardiola.

**** the EFL and **** the FA.

two points stolen from us on Saturday and now they double down and we’re without two of our best players for four games.

Two years on from them demoting us completely unfairly, you can’t help but reach the sort of conclusion that makes you sound like one of your friends in red from over the river. Screwed.

Sky must be so ****ing delighted they binned off LeTiss from Soccer Saturday.

Can't believe some on Exeweb want anything other than a Vegan win against Mansfield. 6 years of near promotion, couldn't give a **** about being champions, get up first than maybe look at the number 1 position. Mind you as I always say though, wishing results don't change them, so not going to get in an argument with anyone there about it.

Happy with how it's going at half-time.

You guys are up. Fair play, great run

Speaking of Sky, Jeff Stelling has done a u-turn on his end of season retirement "because he realised he was going to miss it too much". Maybe Sky offered him great wads of cash. I bet he'll take the World Cup off. Hopefully the EFL won't be stupid enough to actually schedule League One and Two matches that clash with World Cup fixtures.

Obviously any England games will be avoided but beyond that I’d put nothing past them. For me this World Cup will be much less important to me than any other tournament simply by default from me being more concerned as to whether Lee O’Connor is fit then Jack Grealish. Ah well

Yeah, I'm sure I'll get into it when it starts, but have so little enthusiasm for it ATM, for all the obvious reasons.

The only thing I usually watch on TV during the winter is Strictly, so it will be nice to have something else to look forward to watching.

That said, the prospect of a summer that would normally be a World Cup summer, sans World Cup, is very inexpedient.

Edit: Though I suppose the Euros being last summer sort of compensates for that.

Yeah the direness of not having a World Cup in the summer is much larger than the novelty of having one in November/December for me too. Maybe I'll get excited at some point but usually by now I'd be counting down the days.

I think even as a Prem fan, while your season isn’t running parallel, it’s got to be annoying for it to stop mid season for that long right? Say you’ve just got a head of steam up and then….pause

Or if you’re country over club I guess the same basically applies the other way round as the weeks tick by?

I dunno. Europe obviously isn’t the world but man it sucks

Won't matter unless they completely change the entire structure of the club and the way it's run. Unserious football club.

Yeah , he has serious work ahead of him if signed.

Obviously twitter wants everyone gone , but that's not feasible and without champions league they will be doing very well to get three elite first teamers. He will have to fix players who have turned into turnips this season, Shaw, AWB, Rashford etc as only so much money can be spent.

Looking forward to Sunday's big match now,,,obviously neither can afford to lose, but City if they win should get it done bar something absurd.

Wolves away are a pain and obviously West Ham, but I suspect they will have an eye on Europe its relatively simple bar that and Liverpool have a slightly trickier run in.

Following yesterday's Conference League match, one of Mourinho's assistants has been reported to Norwegian police for assaulting Bodø/Glimt's head coach

Meanwhile Roma told media yesterday that it was Glimt's coach who attacked first
