The most reliable City journo out there along with Martin Blackburn. Never 100% until he's holding the shirt but **** me, might call in sick today and grab a bottle of baby oil.
If he does sign, really hope he says one of the main reasons was because of WAC Roy Keane was to his dad, and so wanted to sign for his rivals, probably a fantasy for me, but would be ****ing funny to see Keane interviewed about it.

Would love to see Keane asked about it with Micah sitting right next to him pissing himself.

Nevitt clearly offside when Warrington (on loan from Everton and a hell of a prospect btw, remember the name) plays the ball. Their lad gets a proper touch, not just a deflection and the rest as they say is history.

now I don’t care. It counted and we won. Last week we had one disallowed that shouldn’t have been, and while I don’t necessarily buy the ‘they even themselves out’ cliche in full, thems the breaks in the lower leagues.

But would the goal be disallowed with VAR?

Yeah that’s offside. There was a goal like that in a Villa vs City game a while back and the refs eventually issued a clarification.

nah think the number 6 is probably playing him on, I think the line might be interesting, because the defenders foot is just ahead of his body.

I looked Nevitt up on wiki, was an amateur until July, shows there's gems knocking about in all sorts of places.

Yeah, I think we all just expected him to get a few Papa John’s games but due to a combination of us ****ing up our striker recruitment and his all-round game (if not his goal scoring) exceeding expectations he’s wound up playing a hell of a lot of football and has already had his contract extended. So he could go from carpet fitter to League One footballer in the space of 11 months if all goes to plan.

If you freeze it the moment the ball is played he’s offside, but in the absence of technology I’m don’t mind those being let go. We’ve been on the receiving end and benefited this season.

From the link you've posted I'm not 100% convinced he's off, but with VAR the defender's touch in that situation isn't relevant.

Although that's not always the case. Witness our 2nd goal on Thursday:

Morelos is actually offside when Jack clips that cross in.

Aye fair enough. It's a marginal call that I don't mind the attacking side getting (unless it's a team I don't like in which case it's blatantly offside.)

Went the cinema this afternoon, pleasantly surprised by the results and league table afterwards.

Feeling quite confident. Once we get Sutton out the way our away fixtures are much kinder and I’m always confident at home alas Exeter and Bristol Rovers are always tricky.

So frustrating though, defeats at Walsall and Hartlepool were avoidable and I’d be giddy about our title chances now if they’d gone the right way. Ah well everyone can say the same I guess

We all can, we should have got a result at Mansfield, and Coley missed a sitter to win at Bristol Rovers in the last minute, that's just the last few games, whomever stays down will have hard-luck stories 'tis inevetible.
