He's the archetype Spurs player though. Occasionally does something really flash in a losing effort/inconsequential match, whilst offering next to nothing 99% of the time. A real Cinderella.

For a player who's been in the Prem for nearly ten years and amassed nearly 200 appearances his contribution/impact has been entirely unmemorable.

He was excellent for a while under Pochettino, though he couldn’t stay fit. I don’t think he’s a player that ever offers ‘nothing’, I have time for anyone who’s both good technically and scrappy as ****. But he could have had a better career.

Lol, he joined Spurs. It's probably in his contract that trophies aren't important at this football club.

Speaking of the FA Cup, if Boris's cunning plan continues on the right path they're going to use the Cup Final as a test event for fans and allow 20,000 in. But if a team that reaches the final comes from a high infection area (for example Manchester) their fans won't be allowed to travel. But if the crowd is only 20,000 it's going to be predominantly corporate sponsors as fans of the clubs get screwed out of tickets anyway. The atmosphere will be worse than if there's no crowd at all with nobody watching when the second half kicks off.

I try not to think too far ahead with all this, but in the end, I would hope even corporate schmoozers would get into some kinda atmosphere after this **** year, just the freedom of being in any sort of crowd.

The play-offs are also a possibility, 20 k would be about right for division 4. Glad we won't be there for another humiliation.

Bit of a dilemma really. I hope and expect we shouldn't need the play-offs, but would I rather be there at Wembley for our third successive promotion* or is it preferable to avoid the stress and get up via autos albeit behind closed doors?

4 FA Cups in the last 7 seasons tbf.

But granted, yeah, it is the FA Cup.
It's funny how the stick that's used to beat Arsenal happens to be whatever they're not doing at the time.

Wenger repeatedly gets top 4 despite depending less than the competition, :ah but he's won nothing for years'

Arsenal start winning the FA Cup 'ah but they're slipping out of the top 4.'

I agree that 10th isn't acceptable but we can't all be clubs that just chuck £60m at a player when the previous big money buy flops.
