Congratulations to Manure on winning the Arsene Wenger Trophy. Well done to Villa. Not sure any of the bottom five particularly deserved to stay up. The authorities did well in the end to get the season in the right window of opportunity. Next season is in the lap of the Gods.

Well Villa stopped up after looking buried a few weeks back. Watford got what they deserved as did Bournemouth. Rodgers bottles the big prize again. Could be a fun transfer window coming up.

Great to get that sorted so I can focus fully on supporting Brentford through the playoffs so Pothas doesn’t have me killed.

I know we are all troubled for Pothas and Brentford, but let's remember what Matt Grimes Mum and GF said about Exeters former finest after his spell at Leeds, Leeds fans still passionately hate him for what seems to amount to fair comment to me.

Brentford a bit unlucky with the red card but 1-0 seemed a fair result to me. Great goal to win it.

Southampton have earned 44 points since being beaten 9-0 by Leicester, whereas Leicester have only earned 42 points since that game.

IIRC the 9-0 was a bit of a freak result anyway. Early red card then Leicester finished like gods.

The usual Brendan Rogers routine now kicking into its highest gears. That 6 year contract extension not looking so clever now. Great.

Having been delighted yesterday that Villa stayed up, today I'm already preemptively stressing about next season's relegation battle.

Shouldn't have come to the thread while watching a rebroadcast of the game. Just not Ayew' s day was it?

Edit: spoke to soon.

Strictly speaking, it's not English football, so stick it in the 'football news that doesn't deserve a thread' thread. :naughty:
