*Official* English Football Season 2016-17

Atmosphere in the ground was shite as well.
True. There was so much hype surrounding the game but I guess after first 5-10 minutes maybe everyone expected what was coming and hence the subdued atmosphere.

Liverpool suffered coz of the absence of their two regular midfielders this season plus Coutinho and Firimino certainly weren't at their best. Can was just coming back and had very little game time so it was kinda expected that he would be a bit rusty.

Liverpool are far from being title contenders as the media (not the fans) are making it out to be. We don't have the squad to challenge for the title. Top 4 is the priority this season and worth celebrating if we manage to achieve it.

What a ****all performance from utd though. Was expected but still shite to watch. Am sure the 89mil guy must've had fun playing last night in this setup.

Just realised I've Fabregas in my starting XI over Lallana all season and Joe Hart in goal (RIP).

Still 2nd mind.

My team is fantastic at only playing slightly worse than my opponent, sitting in 9th with the 4th most points.

We're so much better with Lallana on the pitch. Sturridge either scores or he's useless these days and he's lucky he's still pretty decent. But he shouldn't be starting over Origi IMO. Origi is far more suited to Klopp's football and doesn't look out of place as our #1 forward either. I guess when everyone's fit neither will start as Firmino is magic.

I'm not sure it'll be solved in this season but we need a proper holding midfielder as Henderson lacks nous and turns like a cruise ship making it so much easier to press us. There are umpteen times he could have passed forward or even turned on the ball because no one was around him yet he kept running and playing the way he was facing - which was towards our keeper a lot of the time.

Anyway, I think while much is said about our really bad opening 20 minutes, and that we didn't fashion more chances as we have in the other games, De Gea pulled off two massive saves that I don't think a lot of keepers would have kept out. He's gotta be the best keeper in the world.

Oh we're beating Chelsea 3-0 ATM, obviously no-one cares because it's a joke comp, but still mildly amusing....

Are b teams allowed to stop their opponents from using players who are on loan from them against them?

Not that I imagine you have any from Chelsea, but they normally have 453 out on loan which is what made me think of it

Yeah I was struck by how bad Henderson was. Reminded me of Rooney a bit in the way his inability to get the ball under control or turn sharply slowed your whole game down.

Looked to me like Coutinho and Firmino are much better than the rest of your team. I still think you'll get top 4 playing good football, but not challenge.

No idea, TBH I don't care that much. Ampadu played another blinder apparently in front of Chelsea, maybe they could buy him for silly money and we could get him back on loan for five years, makes sense to me.

3-2 in the end, and our 'keeper had to make a great save to stop the draw, ah well.

Both of you have terrible holding midfield options. Probably the weakest place in your starting XIs.

Is Herrera really a holding player? Genuinely asking, not seen enough of him to comment, but always assumed he was more of a passing midfielder.
