I thought he was playing Fellaini to put him in the shop window but since he is still here it's not that. 433 worked with our players last year but there's no place for Rooney in it.

He did it in the second half of the derby with Rooney on the right wing. He was terrible of course, but no moreso than he is anywhere else.

I think he can play in a midfield 2 in games where the opposition sets up to defend, but Fellaini isn't the ideal partner for that. I expected Mourinho to like Fellaini but I'm surprised Schneiderlin is locked out.

Yeah think you're right about the rival thing. Our win at your place was twice as good as winning the final that year.

I think I'd definitely rather Arsenal won the EL than FA Cup (if they were in the former) but as others have alluded to having to go through a whole group stage and then four two legged knockout games just to get to a final is a ridiculous effort. Dortmund played 16 games in the competition last year and didn't even get to the semis because of a last minute goal. Couldn't think of much worse than that.

The Europa League is just a bloated mess of a tournament. Aberdeen and Hearts played their first games in June this year.

If we'd won the Scottish Cup, to then go on and win the Europa we'd have needed 2 or 3 qualifying rounds, group stages, then 3 knockout rounds and a final.
