Lovely to see some cynical time-wasting from the Man City Women at the end of this match, they really are learning.

I'm beginning to oddly enjoy watching Costa, yeah he's a horrible thug, and yet always entertaining, scores goals gets booked, flirts with being sent off but somehow never is. It is fun, there I said it.

I definitely wouldn't say I like him. But I think he's underrated. I feel like his ****ishness is probably a positive on balance, but pundits are desperate to push the story that he 'needs to cut that out of his game' etc. It would be a bad thing if PL refs weren't all total bottle merchants, but they are and he's right to exploit it.

He's also just great at football. His link up play isn't the best but you can't go wrong with a striker that works like a dog and scores loads of goals.

Yeah he's a pretty great player IMO. Had a bit of a rubbish season last year but has looked a bit more like the 2014 version so far this season.

Costa's definitely one of those players who wouldn't be half as effective if he wasn't a total ****, but what he needs to learn is when to act the **** and when to back off. Last season at times it seemed that all he was interested in doing was getting into fights with centre halves, this season he seems to have remembered that he's also meant to be playing football and scoring goals as well as getting into the occasional barney.

I don't think they're linked tbh. I didn't really buy the 'he's bad because he was too focused on scrapping' line. I think he just fights all the time and, like all players, plays well sometimes.

He could be better if he controlled his aggro a bit more but finding the balance is harder than it feels like it should be. I can't think of many footballing ****s that didn't occasionally lose the rag and do something stupid.

Incredible

I heard Troy Deeney say it inspired them to raise their game, as though it was disrespectful.
This is interesting. Feel like it explains why Deeney is as good as he is, but also why he isn't better.

Unorthodox techniques are under-used at the top level. If he just uses his left there it's so much easier for the defence to pick up the flight.

Known as the Colossus of Boggo Road iirc. Was once part a short-lived tag team with the Undertaker.

Moyes really is a man of his word, Sunderland are really in for a relegation fight this year.

Gutted he has gone out on loan. Been one of the few bright points this season. Very quick. Can finish, not sure if you will play him wide or up front.
He'll play wide if we keep our current system, as he's replacing Connor Jennings who's out injured.

Can't wait for the Chelsea game. I think it'll say a lot about how we do this year. #ouryear
